September 3 - Blue Water Shipping has helped load monopiles and transition pieces for the Sandbank wind farm onboard the installation vessel Pacific Orca at the Danish port of Esbjerg.
The 72 foundations, which are destined for Bilfinger's Sandbank offshore wind farm in the German part of the North Sea, are transported to Esbjerg via barge, before being loaded onto Pacific Orca by Blue Water's stevedores.
When completed in 2017, the Sandbank wind farm will be able to supply more than 400,000 households with green electricity.
