November 24 - Blue Water Shipping has formed a joint venture with Priano Marchelli - Blue Water PM - to provide logistics services within the oil and gas and industrial sectors in Italy.
Blue Water explained that the two companies have worked together for many years on a number of projects related to the oil and gas industry, FPSO transports, yard stays and activities in connection with the cruise and marine business.
"By combining our focus on the market and our competences, we will achieve a strong presence and set-up in Italy," said Anders Maul, senior business development manager for the oil and gas division at Blue Water. "We believe that the combined strengths of our two companies will enable us to provide clients with better services and quality within transport and logistics."
He added: "Having a close, personal dialogue with our clients is of great significance because they must be able to trust us when leaving their valuable cargo in our hands."
Priano Marchelli is headquartered in Genoa near the port area, which Blue Water says is an important hub for the industry in Italy, and will be the working centre for the new cooperation.
With an additional office in Civitavecchia, the partnership claims that all of Italy can be covered with the services provided.
