Blue Water Shipping will manage stevedoring logistics for Vestas’ new factory in Szczecin, Poland.
With Blue Water Shipping already enjoying a strong local presence in Szczecin, its commercial director port service, Brian Sørensen, said: “We look forward to this expansion and are honoured that Vestas has entrusted us with this assignment for their new factory.” Blue Water Shipping added plans are being made to add to its current workforce in Szczecin.
Vestas and Blue Water Shipping have worked together on several global wind projects, with the two Danish firms currently collaborating in Esbjerg, Denmark, and Germany’s Cuxhaven, with the latter handling terminal operations, stevedoring, storage, agency and maintenance of heavy wind turbine components for Vestas.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that Blue Water Shipping had opened a facility in Brisbane, Australia.
