June 25 - Confirming earlier reports, MACS will upgrade its MEAS service to East African destinations from July.
Two geared multi-purpose vessels White Rhino and Lilac Roller have been added connecting the ports of Durban, Maputo, Beira, Nacala and Mombasa on a ten day frequency, accepting container, breakbulk, project cargoes and small bulk parcels. Additional ports will be offered on inducement.
The upgraded MEAS service will connect to Europe and United States of America via the deep sea multi-purpose and breakbulk services operated by MACS and GAL.
