March 5 - DHL IP in Brisbane, Australia, have been awarded the APLNG (a partnership between ConocoPhillips, Origin Energy and Sinopec) upstream gas gathering contract - shipments have commenced already and will continue for the next three years.
The scope of work for the company's Industrial Projects group is the shipment of gas gathering equipment into Brisbane for inland distribution to gas gathering and processing locations throughout Queensland, Australia.
In addition, the project intends to have transport critical equipment from various overseas locations so there will be a heavy involvement from the DHL IP overseas offices to handle the inbound logistics.
DHL says it will ship this equipment to meet the project schedule and, in addition, manage the detailed road transport in Australia including the length of the country from Adelaide to Brisbane and hauling equipment to regional sites.
