November 17 - UK based King Lifting has added a 500-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane to its fleet.
The crane is equipped with 165 tonnes of counterweight, an 84 m main telescopic boom, 91 m of luffing jib and 56 m of fixed fly. The new model was immediately deployed to its first job in Corsham, Wiltshire, lifting 26-tonne data modules.
"These are very exciting times at King Lifting with the addition of the LTM 1500-8.1 further enhancing our position in the UK heavy crane rental market," said Steve Wathen, heavy cranes director at the company.
King Lifting will take delivery of another LTM 1500-8.1 in early 2016, as well as a LTM 1750-9.1 equipped with 204 tonnes of counterweight, a 52 m main telescopic boom, 91 m luffing jib and 65 m of fixed fly.
Earlier this year King Lifting added three new 150-tonne capacity MAN TGX prime movers to its fleet, in order to support its growing roster of heavy-duty mobile cranes.
