December 15 - Beluga Chartering GmbH, a subsidiary of the Bremen-based project cargo and heavy lift shipping company, Beluga Shipping, has formed a new agency joint venture with independent liner agent, Peter W Lampke.
Bremen-based Beluga Projects Agency will be jointly managed by PWL's Ronald Kutscha and Beluga's Emilio Reales-Bertomeo.
The strategic alliance will focus on and promote the sales activities for project and heavy lift cargo shipments, especially in the German market.
It will contract cargoes in the German market exclusively for the fast-growing Beluga fleet.
From January 1st, 2010 the jv's first flexible semi-liner services will be implemented and offered to the extensive customer base of the two strong partners.
Four routes are anticipated, primarily from Europe, but ports are not fixed. The routes will include: Europe - West Africa - South Africa - Australia; Europe - Mediterranean Sea - India - Middle East Gulf; Europe - Mediterranean Sea - South East Asia - Far East; and, Europe - West Africa -East Coast of South America.
