October 11 - Bellville Rodair International (BRI) has opened for business in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
"It's official and we are 100 percent up-and-running in our own BRI Brazil office. The team are working hard and have all the necessary registrations and means of communication in place. They have already completed their first job, an export shipment of 16 containers from Brazil to Canada so things are going well," says Terry Walpole, chairman, BRI.
"It was important for us to do this given that we have been involved in the Brazilian market for some years. The new office shows our support for the client base we already have there. It's also an acknowledgment of Brazil's role in the world economy. It was just the next obvious step in our expansion plan and opens up so many opportunities for us throughout the Americas for the import and export of cargo, whether that is by air or by sea," he adds.
A general freight forwarder with three specialist divisions: BRI Energy Team, BRI Couture and BRI Automotive Team, BRI operates offices in more than 20 locations around the world.
