January 28 - BDP Project Logistics will be represented in California's San Diego and Imperial Valley markets by American Cargoservice, a San Diego-based freight forwarding firm.
BDP's "global project network will enable us to bring major resources, including engineering, to large projects that require all facets of transportation management on a global scale," Terry Simokat, president of American Cargoservice.
"ACS will bring us valuable cargo handling capability and expertise in the important California project market, where we are looking to expand our involvement in the alternative energy markets, among others," said Luc VanHeygen, managing director in the Americas and Europe for BDP Project Logistics.
BDP Project Logistics, based in Singapore, is a subsidiary of BDP International headquartered in Philadelphia and offers transportation and related services for cargoes requiring special equipment and coordination to support construction and expansion projects for the global power generation, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, chemical, alternative energy and other industries.
