June 18 - US-based transport and logistics provider BDP International (BDP) is set to become a major player in Vietnam's logistics sector following the establishment of BDP International (Vietnam), a new subsidiary company headquartered in Ho Chi Minh Cit
The company's wholly-owned project cargo arm, BDP Project Logistics, is based in Singapore and operates global logistics centres throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas with a network of strategic partnerships and agents in more than 120 countries. BDP Project Logistics' regional headquarters are located in Philadelphia, Houston, Nürnberg, Prague, Antwerp, Dubai, Shanghai, Buenos Aires and Melbourne.
Many of the projects handled by BDP Project Logistics are in the energy and natural resources markets such as construction, mining, power, oil, natural gas and chemical industries, Their activity is often located in remote areas of China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa, Russia and the former CIS countries.
BDP International (Vietnam) will be Ho Chi Minh City-based but have representation in the country's other commercial centres of Danang and Hanoi.
