June 29 - A 3,690-tonne consignment of heavy and oversize project cargo has been unloaded from BBC Chartering's vessel BBC Citrine at the Russian deepwater Port of Bronka.
The cargoes, which arrived in Russia from Houston in the USA, were discharged from the heavy lift vessel using Bronka's specialised handling equipment, ready for onward transport by road and rail.
Over the past month, Bronka claims to have handled four conventional vessels loaded with heavy and oversize cargoes, amounting to around 5,982 tonnes of goods. The largest unit handled by the port weighed in at 200 tonnes.
HLPFI reported in November 2015 that the first phase of construction at the new deepwater Port of Bronka was complete, with a Liebherr LHM 800 mobile harbour crane installed at the end of September 2015.
