Multipurpose shipping line BBC Chartering is adding two F500-type heavy lift vessels to its fleet – BBC Philippines and BBC Odesa.
Both vessels will be delivered to Briese Schiffahrts and will enter a long-term charter with BBC Chartering.
BBC Philippines is in the final stages of outfitting and will be delivered in October. In line with current plans, BBC Odesa will follow approximately one month later.
BBC Odesa was launched earlier this year in June 2023 and shortly thereafter began sea trials. At that time, the first newbuild of Briese Chartering’s next generation of vessels, Eco Titan, was launched at the Dayang Offshore shipyard in China. The 9,000 dwt vessel is the first of 10 new vessels of this type on order.
