November 20 - BBC Chartering has shipped a loop reactor for a CP Chem project in the USA from South Korea to Freeport, Texas.
The equipment, which was manufactured in South Korea, was transported on board the 14,800 dwt BBC Coral, which has an 800-tonne lifting capacity.
The USD6 billion CP Chem project was first announced in 2011, before being approved in March 2013.
According to Chevron Philips, the cracker has a footprint of the size of nearly 50 football fields, with 563 km of piping, 2,574 km of cable and 140,000 tonnes of concrete.
