April 5 - Balnak, one of Turkey's leading freight operators, is opening offices in Libya and Egypt, claiming to be the first Turkish logistics company to have offices in the former. The company also says it will open an office in Shanghai later this year.
Balnak's new office in Tripoli provides all logistics services including customs brokerage to Turkish companies active in Libya.
Balnak Executive Board vice president, Kosta Sandalcý claims that Balnak is responsible for 40 percent of all shipments from Turkey to Libya, and is aiming to raise this proportion higher by opening a new office.
Sandalcý, drawing attention to the fact that there is increased vitality in Libya, especially in construction projects, said that Balnak supported Turkish contractors by providing all necessary logistics services.
