May 20 - Effective July 1st, BBC Chartering and Logistic (BBC) and Clipper Projects (CP) has announced its intention to dissolve its joint venture Asia Project Chartering Pte Ltd (APC) which was established five years ago to provide commercial management
In a joint statement, the two companies say that the world shipping market is changing and it has been decided to re-position each company to take advantage of new opportunities that these changes offer, to better meet the needs of clients based in Asia, Australasia and Middle East.
The statement assures that the relationship between BBC and CP is as strong as ever and both companies expect to continue to work together whenever it serves the needs of clients and themselves. The most notable change resulting from the termination of APC will be the closure of the APC Shanghai office on July 1, 2009. The existing APC offices in Singapore, Dalian, Melbourne and Dubai will remain open under management of BBC. The office names in these cities will change, but the same staff will be there to serve client and contact numbers will remain unchanged.
Both BBC and Clipper Projects will continue their Far Eastern presence and continue to serve their clients in the region, maintaining the level of service and performance as delivered under the APC partnership.
Both BBC and CP will announce their respective contact details in the near future.
