September 9 - Atlantic Ro-Ro Carriers (ARRC) is adding South Carolina's port of Charleston as a new monthly call on its Baltic-Atlantic service from St Petersburg to Baltimore, Maryland.
The first sailing via Charleston is planned for the middle of October 2015, onboard the vessel Atlantic Navigator, which will be accepting a range of dry cargoes from containerised freight to ro-ro, breakbulk and project cargo. The transatlantic voyage is expected to take approximately 15 days.
ARRC currently operates a fleet of six multipurpose vessels on its transatlantic services, including three vessels with ro-ro capability employed on the Baltic-Atlantic service; and three multipurpose lo-lo (lift-on, lift-off) vessels employed on the Baltic-Gulf service, which connects St Petersburg and Antwerp with the US ports of Houston, New Orleans and Tampa.
