February 25 - Aqualis Offshore has been contracted by Cantex Global Logistics to provide marine warranty surveyor services for the transportation of the FPSO P67 and P70 topside modules from various Brazilian ports to Qingdao, China.
A total of 29 topside modules for the two FPSOs will be transported in eight shipments from Brazil to China, with the heaviest modules weighing in at around 1,650 tonnes.
Aqualis will provide marine warranty surveying services for six of the eight shipments, including the load-out and departure of the transport vessels from Brazil, as well as the discharge of the modules at COOEC's yard in Qingdao.
Aqualis has already completed services for the load-out of modules on BigLift Shipping's vessel Happy Star, and will oversee the load-out for another three vessels in Brazil in a few weeks' time. The remaining two shipments from Brazil will be completed in the summer of 2016.
