November 27 - APM Terminals has completed the extension of Aqaba Logistics Village at Jordan's Port of Aqaba, creating new yards that will be used for storing project cargo, as well as containers, cars and timber.
The newly completed facility includes 13,000 sq m of multipurpose warehousing alongside 40,000 sq m of open yard. The expansion has been designed to allow the flexibility of handling a wide range of cargoes, as regional and international trading patterns continue to evolve in the Middle East, said APM.
"This modern multipurpose facility represents a new step for the Port of Aqaba and the Kingdom of Jordan as we continue toward our goal of becoming an essential regional commercial and logistics hub," said Aqaba Logistics Village ceo Hakam Abul Feilat.
