With a slogan of ‘Develop your project at Europe’s gateway’, Antwerp-Bruges is initiating a tendering process for an 8.5-ha site. The port said that it is expanding the zone in phases, aiming to generate additional maritime cargo for its terminals. The zone is suited to companies active in cold chain logistics, consumer goods, as well as high and heavy cargo.

The tendering process began on February 27, 2025, and will close on May 9, 2025.

“This is not only an investment in economic growth but also in sustainable development and job creation for the region,” said Dirk De fauw, mayor of the city of Bruges and vice president of port of Antwerp-Bruges.

At the end of January 2025, the port of Antwerp-Bruges shared its annual figures for 2024.
