June 7 - Northern Ireland based abnormal load specialist Mar-Train Heavy Haulage has taken delivery of a five-axle extending step frame trailer from Andover Trailers.
The trailer, which has a gross weight of 85 tonnes, will be used to transport heavy-duty quarry equipment, including Terex crushers and screeners, around the UK and Europe.
The 14.95 m step frame is equipped with a low profile neck and has the ability to extend by 2.5 m to accommodate longer machines.
Extending via two outer box beams, Andover Trailers explained that the trailer supports heavy machinery directly under the tracks. In addition, the new trailer's specification includes three fixed and two self-tracking steer axles, each rated to 12 tonnes.
