February 17 - Two members of the ALS Group, ALS (Freight Management Nederland) and ALS Belgie have worked together to ship three hydraulic foundation machines from Belgium to India.
Each machine was 24 m in length, 3.5 m wide and 3.5 m high and weighed from 68 to 79 tonnes and were shipped from Belgium on a large EUKOR ro-ro ship.
Additional auxiliary equipment was shipped in eleven 40ft open top containers, arranged via ALS' container specialists in Antwerp.
The machines will be used in the development of India's Paradip port area to drill thousands of foundation piles for a large refinery.
