April 10 - Almajdouie Logistics was awarded a contract by Samsung Engineering for the Customs clearance and transportation of heavy and outsize cargoes for its CO2 project located 350 km south of Jubail.
The consignment consisted of 13 units, including a gas dehydration unit, which weighed 63.4 tonnes and had the dimensions 16.8 m x 4.9 m x 9.2 m.
Due to the dimensions of the cargo, Almajdouie decided to use two ten-axle trailers side-by-side for the transport from Jubail, but since the trailers had a width of 7.5 m and the main gate of the plant was only 5.5 m wide, the units had to be shifted onto a single ten-axle trailer in order to pass through the gate.
The cargo was then safely delivered to the final erection site, after Almajdouie had undertaken a final site survey to ensure a problem free delivery and installation.
