March 21 - Allcargo Logistics has unveiled plans to establish a logistics park in the Jhajjar district of Haryana, India.
The inland logistics park will comprise of a freight terminal linked to the national rail network, as well as a free trade zone, domestic tariff area and other facilities.
Allcargo says that the new Jhajjar site will highlight its expertise in handling breakbulk cargo, as well as containerised shipments. The facility will also provide contract logistics and warehousing services.
The park will be set up and developed by Allcargo on around 200 acres (80.9 ha) of land, which its says will be close to India's dedicated freight corridor.
The facility is expected to be operational by 2018, subject to obtaining regulatory approvals and completing rail connectivity.
