July 28 - Van der Vlist has delivered 27 machines, including excavators, wheel loaders and bulldozers weighing a total of 1,000 tonnes, to Algeria.
The machines were collected from locations across central and western Europe, transported to respective ports and shipped via ro-ro vessel or as conventional shipments, depending on the ports involved.
Over recent times Africa has become a more popular destination for shipments, said Van der Vlist.
The company explained that whilst construction equipment currently makes up a large amount of this work, other mobile machinery, from agricultural machines to ground support equipment, is also moved, along with static industrial pieces.
