January 21 - ALE has completed the final module load-out in Thailand for the Ichthys LNG project's onshore facilities.
ALE's Thailand branch office was contracted by CUEL to perform the load-out, transportation and weighing of 151 modules.
The modules, which varied in weight from 24 tonnes to 1,928 tonnes, were moved using 120 axle lines of transporters and five power pack units throughout the operations.
ALE's contract completion coincided with the 30th sea voyage from CUEL's construction yard at Thailand's Laem Chabang port to Bladin Point in Darwin, Australia.
ALE's engineering manager, Worrasak Noenpa, who managed the project, commented: "Whilst it was challenging, we made sure all risks were mitigated and we found that the adjacent sea wall offered protection from wind and sea swells, ensuring relatively risk-free load-outs."
