October 5 - Ale Heavylift Austral has successfully skidded two Liebherr cranes each weighing 869 tonnes a total distance of 120 m in Buenos Aires port using the SS150 skidding system with eight skidshoes.
The port's newly acquired cranes were skidded from the assembly area to the their working quayside location.
ALE also executed an additional manoeuvre at the same port, when another crane was skidded 120 m inland for maintenance. It was jacked up using climbing jacks to repair its bogies. Once modified, it was skidded back to the dockside and installed on its original position.
