October 6 - Heavy transport and lifting specialist ALE has completed a pair of projects in Spain.
ALE's Spanish division installed two truss beams at the corporate head office of Banco Popular in Madrid, Spain.
The trusses were used to join two separate buildings and weighed 120 tonnes and 140 tonnes respectively. Four 70-tonne capacity lifting units were used to elevate the structures.
Meanwhile, ALE also replaced eight old bridge supports for the Contreras viaduct, located some 247 km off the A2 highway in Valencia.
In addition to completing the heavy lifting activities, ALE coordinated four sub-contractors that were involved in civil works. ALE used jacks ranging in capacity from 60-300 tonnes, alongside four gantries to lift the bridge structure.
