August 4 - The Alabama State Port Authority is to host its first training event from December 7-9 in Mobile, Alabama, USA.
The event, the Maritime Lifting Solutions Workshop, is sponsored by Barnhart Crane & Rigging and will be delivered by Industrial Training International.
John Mickler, from the Alabama State Port Authority, said: "We are very excited to bring the international maritime industry together in Mobile for world-class, interactive training regarding critical lifting and load handling during maritime operations."
The training workshop is targeted at those involved in shipping, stevedoring, terminal and port management, crane and rigging, logistics, transportation and manufacturing.
Speakers include Mike Parnell, president of Industrial Training International; Jim Yates, senior VP of engineering and technical services at Barnhart Crane & Rigging and Danny Bishop, director of training at The Crosby Group.
John P. Colletti, president and CEO of CraneDoctor, and James K. Lyons, director and CEO of the Alabama State Port Authority, will also participate.
Certex USA, a distributor of crane ropes and professional rigging, lifting and material handling equipment, is also sponsoring the event.
