October 24 - Rickmers-Linie has been selected by Spirit AeroSystems as its partner for the transportation of fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City, USA to Montoir (Port of Nantes St. Nazaire), France.
The contract covers the transportation of fuselage sections, designed for the Airbus A350 XWB series and will run over a period of several years. 
"We are looking forward to this cooperation with Spirit," said Gerhard Janssen, director Marketing & Sales at Rickmers-Linie. "We are proud to become part of the supply chain for Spirit in its deliveries to Airbus."
Janssen said that the contract shows that the shipping line's regular scheduled liner services for heavy lifts and project cargoes is sought after by customers.
