June 23 - Air Charter Service has opened its second Russian office - in St Petersburg - to capitalise on the ever expanding charter market in Russia and the CIS.
The office is situated at the city's main airport - Pulkovo International. Tony Bauckham, managing director at ACS, explains the need for another Russian base: "Our long-established office in Moscow - which opened in 1995 - has been flourishing in recent years, which has led us to look to expand within Russia, and St Petersburg was the natural choice."
Bauckham added: "So far in 2010 the (Moscow) office is more than 30 percent up on last year - as our company is growing, the demand for our service is also growing and we have more and more clients all over Russia and the CIS. The opening of this office enables us to be closer to some of our key customers, and we look forward to its development."
Air Charter Service now has a total of eleven offices worldwide, with plans to open more later this year.
