December 18 - Ahlers China has signed a contract to ship components for a massive power plant project in Minsk, Belarus.
Ahlers will be involved in the transportation from China to Minsk via Klaipeda of 300 teu as well as steel structures, machinery and control equipment. This consignment will be divided over seven or eight shipments on a bi-monthly basis until summer 2011.
The first shipment will leave the port of Shanghai this year on the Chipolbrok ship, mv Orkan, to the port of Klaipeda. Ahlers Klaipeda will then arrange trucking to the Minsk project job site.
