October 20 - Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) has chartered a barge to transport ten heavy components for a large lock being built in Cernavoda, Romania.
The complete lock was disassembled and the units, which weighed up to 56 tonnes and had the dimensions 18 m x 4.5 m x 4.5 m, were loaded at the German hinterland port of Regensburg.
As well as chartering the barge, AGL handled the road inspection, surveys, road transport, loading onto barge and truck, and dismantling of road obstacles.
