The port of Vancouver USA has welcomed Mitsui OSK Line’s (MOL) ro-ro vessel Orca Ace on its maiden voyage.
Built in Japan, Orca Ace measures 656 ft (199.9 m) long and has a deadweight capacity of 15,495 tonnes. Designed to transport automobiles and ro-ro cargoes, the vessel features a specially designed hull shape and an improved two-stroke engine to help reduce carbon emissions.
The vessel will sail to other ports on the US West Coast before arriving at its final destination in San Diego, California.
