January 29 - AARAS Shipping Agencies provided vessel handling services for two ships in the Port of Karachi.
Some 2,216 consignments of vehicles (including 17 buses), plus steel coil, sheets and rods, as well containers were unloaded from the general cargo ship, Pacific Crown.
A further 481 consignments with a total weight of 2,103 tonnes, including seven 65-tonne sets of beams, three 250 tonne transformers, as well as steel coils, rods and sheets were unloaded from a second vessel, Daxia.
These were all destined for the construction of the Jinnah Bridge in Karachi.
AARAS provided complete logistics solutions for both ships' cargoes, including the stevedoring, handling, unloading, loading onto special transporters, Customs clearance and transportation to the final destination.
