December 9 - Combi Lift's Palabora has transported 15,000 cu m of refinery equipment from Ulsan and Masan in Korea to Umm Qasr in Iraq and Shuaiba in Kuwait for the two oil companies, Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Refinery of Karbala Corpor
KNPC will use the 8,000 cu m refinery equipment, with the largest item weighing 400 tonnes, for its Clean Fuels Project, which aims at developing and expanding Kuwait's Mina Al-Ahmad Refinery and Mina Abdullah Refinery.
RKC will use the other 7,000 cu m of components, with the largest item again weighing 400 tonnes, for an oil refinery in Iraq's South Karbala province, around 100 km from Baghdad, that is being built to produce liquefied gas, gasoline, gas oil, fuel oil, jet fuel and asphalt.
