Bolk Transport has organised the delivery of heavy-duty cranes that will be used to erect 45 wind turbines at the Markbygden wind farm, near the northern Swedish city of Piteå.
Two 800-tonne capacity crawler cranes, weighing up to 65 tonnes, and mobile cranes of various sizes were transported to the project site in Markbygden.
The units were transported from various locations in Austria, Slovenia and Germany, with a total combined weight of 2,600 tonnes.
In cooperation with Sweden’s Trilog, Bolk Austria coordinated 120 transports to deliver the crane components. Bolk Netherlands was responsible for the transportation of the wind turbine components.
Both Bolk Transport and Trilog are members of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
