USA-based BNSF Logistics and Heavy Logistics in Belgium have transported metalworking equipment from the port of Antwerp to Missouri.
The cold-forming equipment weighed 60 tons (54.4 tonnes) and measured 10.4 m x 3.4 m x 3.6 m. The cargo was shipped on a G2 Ocean vessel from Antwerp to the port of Houston, where it was loaded onto a nine-axle lowbed trailer.
The equipment, plus accessories, was then transported to its final destination in Rogersville, Missouri by road – a distance of approximately 550 miles (885.1 km).
Both BNSF Logistics and Heavy Logistics are members of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), representing the USA and Belgium, respectively.
