China’s Protranser has delivered a vacuum tower from Tianjin to Iraq.
The unit weighed 95 tonnes and measured 41 m x 4.75 m x 4.6 m. Due to height limitations on the road, the tower’s base brackets had to be removed during transportation from the factory to Tianjin port.
In addition, the cargo could not be discharged at the port for the base brackets to be reattached and had to be loaded onto the vessel directly. Protranser found a suitable operation area outside of the port and mobilised two cranes and one forklift for the work.
The cargo was delivered to Tianjin port on time; the company’s work scope included Customs clearance and port services.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported on Protranser’s delivery of a 18-tonne harvester from the USA to Kazakhstan.
