In partnership with Thompsons of Prudhoe, the UK’s port of Blyth has started construction works to expand its offshore decommissioning facilities.
The collaboration was announced in February, as HLPFI reported here.
The works include the construction of more than 1 ha of heavily reinforced concrete ground slabs, and complex drainage systems for surface water catchment and treatment.
The expansions works should be completed by the end of June; the facility remains open for business.
