The JSI Alliance has transported a 370-tonne Bedeschi shiploader from Jebel Ali to Fertil in Ruwais, UAE, onboard Jumbo Shipping’s heavy lift vessel Fairpartner.
The 23,000 cu m shiploader measured 39.35 m x 16 m x 36.7 m and was loaded onboard the heavy lift vessel using its two 900-tonne capacity cranes.
The ship departed Jebel Ali and the shiploader was offloaded at Ruwais two days later.
Bedeschi manufactured the machine for fertiliser and granulated urea handling. It runs on rails, with a towed tripper to divert the product from a wharf gallery conveyor onto a transfer belt, then to a loading boom belt. It will be deployed at the terminal.
