Holleman Bulgaria has completed the delivery of oversize cargoes destined for the Aurubis Bulgaria industrial complex in Pirdop.
The cargo arrived by river vessel to the port of Ruse-East, Bulgaria and was delivered to the client by road in just three days.
Holleman Bulgaria said that largest piece, which measured 5.4 m wide and 5.1 m in height, made the shipment particularly challenging. Three route studies were completed ahead of the delivery; the route also included passing through a tunnel with just 4 cm of clearance.
The height of the cargo forced Holleman to avoid routes with overhead obstructions. The company decided to travel on a number of secondary roads, which required overhead wires in a number of villages to be lifted.
Coordination with the police and electricity utilities were key the ensuring that the cargoes were delivered on time.
