Indian-based Express Global Logistics (EXG) has moved 72 large pipes from Southeast Asia to Bangladesh.
With a combined weight of 3,400 tonnes and a total freight volume of 6,100 cu m, EXG divided the shipment into two lots that were loaded onto breakbulk vessels.
“Careful handling and resource allocation ensured that each lot was cleared and shipped according to schedule, minimising downtime at ports and preventing any disruptions to the client’s project timeline,” said a spokesperson for the company.
There was disruption during the unloading of the second shipment, as well as having to contend with factors such as heavy rainfall during inland transportation and having to fill potholes, but EXG’s team adjusted its routes accordingly to ensure a safe and timely delivery.
In September 2024, EXG transported heavy and oversized hydropower equipment across India.
EXG is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for India.
