CS Wind Offshore has manufactured 40 XXL wind turbine generator (WTG) monopile foundations for the Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm.
Once operational, Borkum Riffgrund 3 will become Germany’s largest offshore wind farm. It will have a capacity of 913 MW, supplying energy to 900,000 households.
Borkum Riffgrund 3 encompasses Borkum Riffgrund West 1 (420 MW), Borkum Riffgrund West 2 (240 MW) and Northern Energy OWP West (240 MW) wind farms, which were merged in 2019.
CS Wind Offshore has been working on this project alongside Danish energy firm Ørsted.
