Ainscough Crane Hire has utilised a 750-tonne capacity crane to lift pre-cast concrete beams for a road modernisation project in Scotland.
Construction contractor Balfour Beatty is adding a second lane to a 9.5 km section of the A9 between Luncarty and the Pass of Birnam.
The company enlisted Ainscough to assist with the heavier lifting operations, including the installation of four heavy structures over the new carriageway. In September, Ainscough completed the positioning of the first of these structures.
In addition, Ainscough lifted 15 pre-cast concrete beams to form part of a new Stanley/ Tully Belton junction above the A9 carriageway. The contractor also deployed a 500-tonne capacity LTM 1500 to install culverts.
