Royal Wagenborg and Liebherr are teaming up to rejuvenate Wagenborg Nedlift’s crane fleet.
Wagenborg Nedlift will receive two Liebherr mobile tower cranes of the MK73-3.1 type this year, in addition to 25 Liebherr machines between 2021 and 2025. These cranes will replace various older mobile cranes and mobile tower cranes currently in operation.
The Liebherr machines are equipped with clean Stage V engines, which will result in significant emission reduction, according to Wagenborg.
The rejuvenation of its crane fleet, Wagenborg explained, is an important part of its sustainability strategy. One of the objectives is to reduce CO2 emissions by 95 percent in the Netherlands and by 50 percent in the EU.
Gerard Bastiaansen, managing director of Wagenborg Nedlift, said: “With this cooperation, we not only opt for equipment that best meets our customer requirements; at the same time, we also reduce significant amounts of nitrogen and CO2.”
