USA-based Talbert has introduced its series of tag-a-long AC trailers that have been designed to minimise load times for everyday hauling of small-to-medium size equipment.

Talbert said the versatile series of trailers can be used in general construction, paving, agriculture, and oil fields, and are suited to transport a variety of equipment – from asphalt rollers and machines for dirt work, to cables and pipes.

“As contractors diversify their operations to meet changing demands, they require more flexibility from their equipment,” explained Troy Geisler, vice president of sales and marketing.

The dual-axle AC-10 has a deck length of 24 ft (7.3 m) and offers a 10-ton (9.1-tonne) capacity. The relatively low loading deck height of 32.25 inches (0.81 m) makes it ideal for residential and commercial building sites and urban utility operations, said Talbert.

The AC-20 offers a capacity of 20 tons (18.1 tonnes), while maintaining the same deck dimension and loaded deck height as the AC-10. The AC3-25 boasts a 29 ft (8.8 m) deck and has a payload of 25 tons (22.7 tonnes).

Additionally, the AC-20ART and AC3-25ART improve on the base design of the AC series with the addition of an air-powered ramp to load low-clearance equipment. This, according to Talbert, eliminates the handling of heavy ramps prior to loading.
