Schmidbauer has acquired a pair of MAN TGX 41.640 8x4/4 BB heavy-duty prime movers.
The 640 hp MAN vehicles are designed for gross train weights of up to 250 tonnes. This expansion grows the fleet from four to six heavy-duty tractors at Schmidbauer’s Regensburg facility.
According to Schmidbauer, these heavy-duty vehicles are particularly suitable for various special transports, including transformers and turbine parts. The company said the units will be deployed on the transport of cable drums for the Südostlink project in the first quarter of 2025.
