Ecuador-based Transportes Noroccidental has added four Terex RT 100US rough-terrain cranes to its fleet.
With a 100-ton (90-tonne) lifting capacity and a five section, fully hydraulic boom that extends to 154 ft (47 m), Terex says the rough-terrain crane is capable of assembling and disassembling drilling rigs in the Ecuadorian oil region. “The four cranes are perfectly designed for the job because of their mobility on rough surfaces and operational speed,” said Edgar Fabian Andrade, ceo of Transportes Noroccidental.
The four cranes also feature the IC-1 control system, which gives the operator greater control over swing movements and provides access to real-time information for quick diagnostics in the field.
Transportes Noroccidental has already deployed the four Terex RT 100US cranes into its oil field operations.
