Huisman will deliver a 3,000-tonne capacity spreader bar for Huisman. It will be used in the installation of offshore wind turbines.
The spreader will be based on Huisman’s existing design but will be built specifically to Seaway 7’s requirements. It will be initially deployed on the third phase of the UK’s Dogger Bank offshore wind farm project – Dogger Bank C.
Huisman said that the design of the spreader bar is optimised for increased safety and efficiency in monopile and transition piece installation.
