Polish shipyard Stocznia Szczecińska has acquired a Cometto SYT 6/4 trailer.
Designed for the transport of large and heavy ship blocks, the SYT 6/4 has a payload capacity of approximately 414.5 tons (376 tonnes). It measures 16 m in length and consists of 12 axles.
According to Cometto, the trailer is equipped with high-capacity hydraulic suspension systems that can handle up to 40 tonnes each.
Meanwhile, Harsco Environmental has taken delivery of a self-propelled ETH 8/6 unit for its site at Sheffield Forgemasters in the UK.
The Cometto ETH 8/6 is designed for steel handling and features a payload capacity of 238 tons (216 tonnes).
